Ann Arbor Homes guide

Arts

Ann Arbor’s arts community is an eclectic collection of music, dance and theatre. The Dance Gallery/Peter Sparling Dance Company is a modern professional dance company directed by Peter Sparling, former dancer with the Martha Graham Company. The group offers lecture demonstrations, open rehearsals, classes, and several performances throughout the season. The Ann Arbor Symphony Orchestra conducted by musical director Arie Lipsky, offers concerts from September through April. The Ark is Ann Arbor's home for acoustic music, presenting live music almost every night of the week. The Purple Rose Theatre Company is a professional non-profit theatre company founded by actor Jeff Daniels in 1991 and is dedicated to the belief that there are creative and revelatory voices in America's heartland that need to be heard and explored. A year-round production schedule includes both new plays and established classics.
