Schools and Education
The Ann Arbor Public School District handles an enrollment of approximately 16,885 students in twenty-one elementary schools, five middle schools, and five high schools. Ann Arbor's Pioneer High School was named the 2006 Grammy Signature School, also known as the top program in the nation.
While Ann Arbor is dominated by the presence of the University of Michigan, several other notable colleges and universities call the city home including Cleary University, Concordia University, Washtenaw Community College, and the Ave Maria School of Law.
